OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Association shall be as follows:-
- To completely organize into the Association all Senior Staff employed in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, manufacture of paints soap, detergents, cement, plastic, glass, rubber, fertilizers ceramics and related chemical industries.
- To promote and safe- guard economic power and social welfare of its members, preserving and extending their civil rights and liberties within a free and democratic society.
- To bargain and set up wage and salary scales high enough to make possible a full and secured life for its members and their families. To negotiate and set up for its members good working hours and other conditions of service.
- To regulate and harmonize the relations between members and employers, between one member and another and between members and other workers.
- To promote and protect legitimate interest of its members.
- To develop and strengthen trade union organization for the realization of social and economics justice in working conditions.
- To safeguard the rights of members and to provide for members some benefits as may be provided in the constitution.
- To advance the education and training of members and staff and some children or wards of members.
- To subscribe to the furtherance (financial or otherwise) of work or purpose of any Association or Federal Body having for its objects the promotion of the interest of labour, trade unionism and the community.
- To promote and support legislation in the interest of workers
- To establish or participate (financially or otherwise) in the business of printing or publishing of newspaper or journals, books pamphlets or any other undertaking, industrial or otherwise, with the main purpose of furthering the interest of the Association and Trade Unionism in general.
- To establish in their employment social security benefit scheme in accordance with length of service, experience and good workmanship.
- To promote and participate in cultural and social activities having as one of their objects the promotion and establishment of the aims of the Association or Trade Unionism.
